The Creative Arts- Healing Therapy

Guest Post by Monna Ellithorpe ©2017

It doesn’t matter what branch of the Creative Arts you’re interested in; what matters is that you use your chosen art form to improve your health, especially if you are suffering from grief, depression, anxiety, panic attacks or even illnesses such as fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis or other forms of illness that affect your body and your quality of life.

There are many times in life that each of us have to deal with events and situations and while I realize not everyone reacts to life events or illnesses in the same way or can be distracted in the same way; but there does come a time that you can take the controls and try on your own to create a “Happy Place” and a new mindset for yourself. (Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor and I don’t have any kind of degrees, I only share what works for me).

My chosen saving action for myself is writing. No matter what I’ve done or have tried to do, I’ve always come back to writing. This may also happen for you if painting, drawing, singing, dancing, photography, cooking, music, reading, puzzles, coloring or walking interests you. There are many other of the arts that I haven’t named but the suggestions I give you will be based on writing which is what I use to go to “My Happy Place.”

Use any of your interests to help heal what you are experiencing in life. Now, I’m not telling anyone to stop medications or anything else that a doctor has recommended to you. I’m merely suggesting other forms of distraction.

We are living in such stressful times right now and on the upside of this, we have never had the opportunities that we have now to be and do almost anything you want.

You want to learn to paint? Go to YouTube, Udemy or search Google for painting lessons or classes. You will find both free and courses to pay for but most are priced at reasonable amounts that almost anyone can afford.

Take this approach and search for any form of Creative Arts that you want to learn and work with. Don’t limit yourself to the small list that I gave you above. There are so many things you can learn.

You are welcome to join us in our Facebook Group Create Yourself Through Writing https://www.facebook.com/groups/CreateYourselfThroughWriting

We are working to create more activity in the group, little by little. I know so many people are so very busy but think of our group as your “Happy Place” and share your dreams with us.

“Gratitude Is The Foundation Of Confidence” -Review

Author, and publisher, Monna Ellithorpe’s latest e-book, “Gratitude Is The Foundation Of Confidence,” is a method of using your gratitude for others, plus those things, gifts and qualities you already have, as a stepping stone for building your confidence.  By focusing on the qualities you possess, and using the strategies Monna lists in this e-book, you will think of others, count your blessings, and learn to appreciate yourself more through the efforts of giving and being thankful.

The author comes from a background of writing in journals,  and implements this into her confidence building strategy. When writing your thoughts and/or appreciation for yourself and others, you start to see patterns arise which will either add another level of appreciation, or become a method for change needed in your life.   This is an effective path to knowing yourself, your strengths, and the weaknesses you hold.

Monna Ellithorpe encourages you to push yourself, try new things, learn to stop complaining, and set achievable goals for yourself.   Taking measures to improve  your life, and by having a better attitude about yourself and others, will help you become more confident in knowing yourself, and becoming a more optimistic person.  I highly recommend this book.  It is thoughtful and gives you step by step strategies toward having a better outlook on life.  We can all use a little more gratitude and confidence in our lives.

Lost Forever In The W.W.W.

There are some of us who are not organized or proficient in record keeping.  The downside of this could be loss of royalties, or income if something unforeseen occurs, and your loved ones  are unable to use your information.  Discover the steps you should take  in Monna Ellithorpe’s book, “Lost Forever In The W.W.W.”

Monna gives you a list of 12 particular areas for keeping records for your internet business.  Should you become incapacitated, or worse, your record keeping is a necessary means of information for your loved ones to have.

With this information they can receive payments on your accounts to either pay bills, or receive those monies that you have earned in your lifetime.  Many do not like to have these discussions, because these “what ifs” are not something that seem relevant for the moment.  Regardless, we should consider the kinds of dilemma we could leave our families in, if they were not to have this information at a hand’s reach.

I urge to read this small gem, and start organizing the paperwork your loved ones will need for when a short-term, or long-term absence from your online business occurs.
