“Gratitude Is The Foundation Of Confidence” -Review

Author, and publisher, Monna Ellithorpe’s latest e-book, “Gratitude Is The Foundation Of Confidence,” is a method of using your gratitude for others, plus those things, gifts and qualities you already have, as a stepping stone for building your confidence.  By focusing on the qualities you possess, and using the strategies Monna lists in this e-book, you will think of others, count your blessings, and learn to appreciate yourself more through the efforts of giving and being thankful.

The author comes from a background of writing in journals,  and implements this into her confidence building strategy. When writing your thoughts and/or appreciation for yourself and others, you start to see patterns arise which will either add another level of appreciation, or become a method for change needed in your life.   This is an effective path to knowing yourself, your strengths, and the weaknesses you hold.

Monna Ellithorpe encourages you to push yourself, try new things, learn to stop complaining, and set achievable goals for yourself.   Taking measures to improve  your life, and by having a better attitude about yourself and others, will help you become more confident in knowing yourself, and becoming a more optimistic person.  I highly recommend this book.  It is thoughtful and gives you step by step strategies toward having a better outlook on life.  We can all use a little more gratitude and confidence in our lives.

50 Quilting Tips For Beginners and Experienced Quilters Review

“50 Quilting Tips for Beginners and Experienced Quilters,” by Monna Ellithorpe can  truly be used by anyone.

I quilt on occasion, and though I’m not a beginner, or pro, I do have many years of quilting on my side.  I was able to quickly go through this book and find tips that I can use and would have never thought of.  Of course, as a quilter, it never hurts to learn more efficient ways to quilt.  I find that had I had this book before, I could have prevented some mishaps long ago.

In the past I’ve used the wrong thread, prewashed the wrong types of fabrics, or colors, and had disastrous results.  I didn’t know what I didn’t know, and learned by trial and fire.  There’s nothing worse than having colors bleed on each other, or having washed the wrong types of fabrics together to pull your expensive project out of the dryer covered in fuzz balls before you have even started quilting.   Fortunately, I did have a friend who was an expert quilter and I was able to call her for help, when we had time away from taking care of our families.

It is disappointing to invest time and money in fabric, as a gift for yourself, or someone else, to have that dream dashed.   This book will definitely come in handy.

In “50 Quilting Tips,” you will find ways to use your tools more beneficially, how to prepare and store fabrics, how to adjust table heights for a better work surface, find ways for tracing patterns, stabilizing fabrics, and more.

This is why I would recommend “50 Quilting Tips For Beginners and Experienced Quilters.”

You can find it here on Amazon.

Lost Forever In The W.W.W.

There are some of us who are not organized or proficient in record keeping.  The downside of this could be loss of royalties, or income if something unforeseen occurs, and your loved ones  are unable to use your information.  Discover the steps you should take  in Monna Ellithorpe’s book, “Lost Forever In The W.W.W.”

Monna gives you a list of 12 particular areas for keeping records for your internet business.  Should you become incapacitated, or worse, your record keeping is a necessary means of information for your loved ones to have.

With this information they can receive payments on your accounts to either pay bills, or receive those monies that you have earned in your lifetime.  Many do not like to have these discussions, because these “what ifs” are not something that seem relevant for the moment.  Regardless, we should consider the kinds of dilemma we could leave our families in, if they were not to have this information at a hand’s reach.

I urge to read this small gem, and start organizing the paperwork your loved ones will need for when a short-term, or long-term absence from your online business occurs.

Cheap Children’s Book Review

Daily, we read books to our children, and grandchildren, and may think to ourselves, I think I can do this.

You’re constantly making up stories, songs, and poems, to entertain, and delight your little ones, but to actually write a book about it is more than you’ve anticipated.  You decide you’ll sit down, write a story, and send it off to various publishing houses, only to receive one rejection slip after another.  However, now the bug has bitten you, and the itch is still there, you have to continue, somehow, and someway.  You know you can do this.

Then you meet a friend who opens your eyes to self-publishing your children’s book…and even then, you have to take into account these costs, as well:

  • Book Covers
  • Inside Book Illustrations
  • Book Launch Fees
  • Networking Fees
  • Marketing Fees
  • Blogging Fees
  • Hosting Fees
  • Time Invested

Don’t get me wrong, illustrators, and marketers, do a wonderful job and deserve to get paid.  I love my earlier illustrators!  But, let’s face it, if you’re up and coming, and want to break through the barrier, there is a larger start-up cost than expected…until now.

CheapChildren’sBook.com, created  by Author Barry J McDonald, is one of the best things to come along in a long time!  This program is fit for a small budget, and has more value than those which can cost you hundreds of dollars.  And, even if you’re not in the children’s book arena, but still love to write…some of these ideas will transfer to other niches of writing, as well.
